Chief Charles

  

Chief Greg Charles began his career as Ault’s Chief of Police on November 1, 2007.

Chief Greg Charles started his career in Law Enforcement in December of 1994 as a Police Officer with the Montgomery Police Department in Montgomery, Alabama. He was assigned to the Patrol Division as a patrolman and then became a Field Training Officer, where he trained new academy graduates in patrol tactics. He served in the Solo Motor Division as a motorcycle officer and enforced the traffic laws of Montgomery, AL.

In May of 2002, He joined the Clanton Police Department in Clanton, AL. and advanced to the position of Corporal and supervised officers in the Patrol Division. In January of 2007, he joined the Meeker Police Department in Meeker CO. and assumed the position of Lieutenant / Field Training Commander in charge of the Patrol Division.

Chief Charles graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice and Public Safety and holds a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University. He is a graduate of both the Montgomery Fire Department Academy and the Montgomery Police Department Academy.

Chief Charles has many years of extensive experience in the field of Public Safety Services as a Firefighter and Police Officer. He is a certified NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, certified Taser X-26 operator and holds certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED as well as other certifications.

He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, family and friends. He likes to hunt, fish and play golf for recreation.
