Of the six parks, the only shelter available for renting is the large covered shelter at Liberty Park, all other parks are on a first come first served basis. You will need to call Town Hall to make sure the shelter is not reserved on the day you wish to reserve it.

Colorado Open Records Act (CORA)
The Colorado Open Records Act statute gives citizens broad access to government records. As a municipality in Colorado, the Town of Ault is subject to CORA laws. Specific exceptions set forth in this act do exist. For that reason, the law authorizes and requires that some types of records remain confidential or privileged and may be withheld or redacted.
Public Works
Ault Public Works Department takes pride in the upkeep of the Town. The Town’s goal is to provide good preventative maintenance to the Town’s assets, as well as quick, but safe and reliable responses to the unforeseen needs of the Town. The Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance and repair of the Towns water, sewer, streets, parks, and cemetery.

Home-Based Business Licenses
A Home-Based Business is an accessory use of a dwelling unit, conducted entirely within the dwelling unit, carried on by one or more persons, all of whom reside within the dwelling unit and where no persons are employed other than resident and domestic help.

Cemetery
The Town of Ault Cemetery is located at the end of North 3rd Avenue. Application for a purchase of interment rights to a lot must be made through the Town Clerk’s office.

Business & Sales Tax Licenses
According to Ordinance 468 § 5.04.050 and 3.04.050, all businesses selling goods or providing services from business establishments within the boundaries of the Town shall obtain a Business License, and/or a Sales Tax License for those without establishments within the boundaries of the Town of Ault, but still providing services or goods within the Town boundaries, from the Town Clerk within the first thirty days of each calendar year. The licenses will be in force and effective until the thirty first day of December of the year in which it is issued, unless sooner revoked.
